For years, German intelligence agencies and law enforcement have expressed concerns about the activities of the IZH. The center has been accused of promoting extremist ideologies and acting as a representative of the Iranian regime and Hezbollah in Germany. These allegations have painted the IZH as a significant threat to national security.
The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, has consistently monitored the IZH. Reports have indicated that the center has been involved in recruiting and radicalizing individuals, providing ideological support to terrorist organizations, and facilitating the movement of extremists in and out of Germany.
